Exploring Life With Passion
blog
There’s a particular kind of tired that comes from waiting. Not the waiting-in-line kind — the deeper kind. The waiting for healing. The waiting for the answer you’ve prayed for a hundred times over. The waiting for a breakthrough that feels like it should have arrived by now.
If you’re in that kind of season, I want to say something you might need to hear today: the wait is not empty.
We tend to treat waiting like a pause button — like nothing is happening until the answer finally comes. So when the silence stretches longer than we hoped, it’s easy to start believing we’ve been forgotten. That maybe this prayer fell through the cracks. That maybe we’re being passed over.
But that’s not how it works. Not with God, and not with growth.
While you’re waiting, something is happening — in you, and for you. Your patience is being stretched in ways comfort never could stretch it. Your faith is being refined, tested in the exact places it needed testing. And the very thing you’re hoping for is quietly being prepared, even in the moments it feels like nothing is moving at all.
Think of it like a seed underground. From the surface, it looks like nothing is happening. But beneath the soil, roots are forming, reaching, anchoring. The waiting isn’t the absence of progress — it is the progress, just hidden from view.
If you’re in a season of waiting right now — for healing, for peace, for clarity, for restoration — hear this clearly: you are not forgotten. You are not behind schedule. You are not being punished by the delay.
You are exactly where you need to be.
That doesn’t make the waiting easy. It’s okay to feel weary in it. It’s okay to have days where your faith feels thin. But weariness doesn’t cancel the promise — it’s simply part of walking it out.
Your blessing is coming. Not because the wait has been long enough to earn it, but because it was already being prepared long before you started asking.
What are you believing for during your season of waiting? Whatever it is, you don’t have to carry it in silence. Naming it — to God, to a trusted friend, to yourself in a quiet moment — is part of holding onto hope while you wait.
If you’re walking through a season of waiting and need a companion for the in-between days, Inspiration for Your Journey was written with you in mind — daily devotionals for the wait, the wonder, and everything in between.
