Preparing the Heart

As we move into Week 5 of our Lenten journey, I wanted to gently check in with you once again.

How has this season been shaping you?
What has been settling in your heart over the past few weeks?

As we draw closer to the final stretch of Lent, this week invites us into a posture of preparation—not through pressure, but through intention. Preparing the heart doesn’t always mean doing more; sometimes it simply means creating space. Space to pause, to listen, and to be more aware of God’s presence in the everyday moments.

There may be areas in your heart that are being softened, realigned, or quietly restored. Whatever that looks like for you, allow it to unfold without rushing. Preparation is often gentle and unseen, yet deeply meaningful.

If it feels helpful, you might take time to reflect on this question:

“What is God preparing in my heart during this season?”

Continue reading one chapter each day, and let your journaling remain a place of honesty and openness. There’s no need for perfect words—just a willingness to be present.

You’ve come this far in the journey, and that in itself is something to hold with grace.

Warmly,
Nicole
